Nebraska 10
Baker 10

Oct. 28, 1893

This newspaper account says Nebraska was denied a victory because of the officiating of a Baker fullback named Toomey who served as umpire. With Nebraska driving impressively in the first half, Toomey "came to Baker's aid and gave them the ball on a foul." In the second half, with Nebraska at the Baker 3-yard line and a touchdown "virtually assured," Toomey "again came to the rescue and on an obviously impossible foul gave the ball to Baker. The game ended with the ball in Baker's hands, the score 10 to 10."
