In the first meeting between the schools, Nebraska used a strong second half to defeat Colorado in Boulder. A favorable wind helped the lighter Colorado squad battle the visitors to a first-half draw, but Nebraska had the wind advantage in the second half and took control.

Nebraska had little time to relish the victory. Two days later, the team had a game to play in nearby Denver against the Denver Athletic Club.

DEFEAT THE MOUNTAINEERS
NEBRASKA FOOTBALL BOYS WIN
AT BOULDER, COLO.
First Half an Even Break But Sec-
ond All in Favor of the Visi-
tors—Erwin and Foll-
mer the Stars

BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 17—(Special.)—The Nebraska football team defeated the Colorado university team today by better playing in the second half. The first half was Boulder's, the Colorado boys playing the heavier men from Nebraska to a standstill. The wind in the first half was in Colorado's favor.

Nebraska made the first score on Kingsbury breaking through the line, blocking the kick and gaining fifteen yards. Benedict then took the ball eighteen yards and it was worked twenty yards over the line. After that the first half was all Colorado's way, John Rogers being taken over for a touchdown, and the ball was on Nebraska's twelve yard line when the half ended.

Nebraska opened the second half with a determined rush up the field. The wind was strong and favoring. The Nebraska boys were unable to prevent Colorado making another score, but they played grandly. Follmer at half and Erwin, fullback, made star plays for Nebraska. Follmer got through for several good runs. The feature was really the long runs of Chase of Colorado, who persistently got away with the ball. Benedict made runs of thirty-three and thirty-eight yards. The final score was 23 to 10.
