WAKE FOREST
Jerry Tagge: Hit 9 to 12 passes for 168 yards, one a 61-yarder for a TD. Scored on 13-yard run. Bob Newton: Great blocking helped NU run for 207 yards, pass for 168 and score 36 points.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Joe Orduna: Rushed for season high of 135 yards and a 7.5 average. His 67-yard TD run gave NU a 21-14 lead to insure tie. (Big 8 Choice) Jerry Murtaugh: Sensational defensive job, with 14 unassisted tackles and 11 assisted tackles. Also deflected a pass. (Big 8 Choice)

Johnny Rodgers: Caught 5 passes for 106 yards and 2 TDs. Rushed for 25 yards. Ed Periard: Made six unassisted tackles and five assisted. Caught the Army quarterback four times for losses of 27 yards.

Jeff Kinney: Carried 21 times for 91 yards, one TD. Bob Newton: Led Nebraska line which opened holes for NU backs to net 240 yards rushing and 406 yards of total offense. (Big 8 Choice)

MISSOURI
Joe Orduna & Jeff Kinney: Joint nomination, with Kinney netting 108 yards and one TD, Orduna 76 yards and a brilliant 41-yard run. Ed Periard: Great job of defensive leadership. Total of 10 tackles, four unassisted.

KANSAS
Van Brownson: Hit 10 of 15 passes, for 183 yards in first 1970 start. Two TD passes, the first an 80-yarder to put NU back in game in second quarter. (Big 8 Choice) Bob Newton: Third nomination, for another great blocking performance. Huskers ran through Newton-opened holes during first half comeback.

OKLAHOMA STATE
Paul Rogers: Kicked FGs of 42, 41 and 38 yards, and six of seven PATs for 15 points to lead NU scoring. Bob Newton: Fourth nomination for Big 8 record. Outstanding job of blocking and pass protection.

COLORADO
Van Brownson: Hit 11 of 17 passes for 173 yards and two TDs. Also ran for 30 yards. Guy Ingles: Caught five passes for 112 yards and two TDs (35 and 39) in first quarter to get Nebraska a lead that held up for victory.

IOWA STATE
Jerry Tagge: Hit 18 of 27 passes for 223 yards and two TDs. Also ran for 11 yards and one TD. (Big 8 Choice). Doug Dumler: Brilliant job of pass protection, blocking helped NU throw for 223 yards. Also blocked well as rushing attack netted 342 yards.

KANSAS STATE
Joe Blahak: Intercepted three Lynn Dickey passes to tie the NU record and made six unassisted tackles. Return yardage of 116 yards included a 53-yard run. (Big 8 Choice) Jerry Murtaugh: Supplied aggressive leadership for NU defense which clobbered league leading K-State's attack. Made nine tackles and intercepted a pass in the first quarter to set-up NU's first TD and launch the rout.

OKLAHOMA
Jim Anderson: Intercepted two passes and made four tackles. His second interception came in the end zone on the last play of the game to preserve a 28-21 victory and an undefeated season. Ed Periard: Aggressive play was branded "outstanding" by Coach Bob Devaney. Made 8 tackles and kept pressure on Sooner QB throughout the game.
